Sobre CUBA PERFORMANCES, dice su directora, Elvira Rodriguez Puerto, es un triptico "bello y poético", un homenaje a todas aquellas personas que defienden el arte de vivir bajo cualquier circunstancia y en cualquier lugar, partiendo desde Cuba, donde expresarse tiene las consecuencias más absurdas y donde la locura ocupa un papel trascendental en la vida de todos.
CUBA PERFORMANCES ha sido realizado para resaltar especialmente la obra de OMNI-Zona Franca que vive y revive en ese Alamar olvidado, lleno de verde, edificios en bloques y camellos inatrapables “las transformaciones y las locuras“ y la obra de Rafael Alvarez Domenech (Felo Behiquealto), otro maestro de la performancia, que no vive en Cuba, pero que ha sido también un guía para los OMNIS y para nosotros.
Ellos se cuestionan el Performance como alternativa de la vida ante lo incómodo, ante lo impuesto, y ante lo prohibido. Su actuación viene de lo que palpan y de lo que viven, que es su propio lugar, "el corazón" y desde ese lugar, como ellos mismos dicen, -desplazarse hacia fuera-.

CUBA PERFORMANCES, so its director, Elvira Rodriguez Puerto, is a beautiful and poetic triptych, a homage to all those people who defend the art of living at all costs and anywhere, starting from Cuba, where to express yourself has the most absurd consequences and where madness plays a transcendental role.
CUBA PERFORMANCES has been realized to highlight the work of "OMNI-Zona Franca" which lives in the forgotten city of Alamar, full of green, of block buildings and buses called Camellos impossible to catch), and of Rafael Álvarez Domenech (Felo Behiquealto), another master of performance, who does not live in Cuba but wo has been a guide for OMNI and for all of us, such as Tania Bruguera.
They question the Performance as alternative to the life as a reaction to the uncomfortable, the imposed, the forbidden. Their performances comes from what they feel and what they live, from their own place, "the heart", so to move outwards from that place.
